PML-N Quaid and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif has filed petition in Lahore High Court (LHC) to seek interim bail to avert arrest in assets and money laundering case.
Amjid Pervez advocate filed petition on behalf of Shahbaz Sharif. Chairman NAB and others have been made respondents in the petition.
The petitioner has taken the plea that NAB made the assets case with malafide intent and the allegations regarding money laundering are baseless. NAB is being cooperated fully during the investigation. All the documents and replies to the questions have been given to NAB.
The petitioner expressed fear in the petition about his arrest in assets and money laundering case, therefore, interim bail be granted.
It is pertinent to mention here that NAB has summoned Shahbaz Sharif today (Tuesday) in assets and money laundering charges.
