Punjab Chief Minsiter Sardar Usman Buzdar Thursday said public cooperation was imperative to counter novel coronavirus.
According to media reports, he held that pursuing safety protocol including using mask and maintaining social distancing can lead to put leash on the epidemic .
The chief minister expressed his views while meeting Members Provincial Assembly belonging to different districts of Punjab and said the worst-hit areas by the pandemic have been sealed.
The MPAs who called on CM Punjab included Saleem Sarwar Jaura, Muhammad Arshad Chaudhry, Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, Mian Shafi Muhammad and Asif Majeed.
“The localities where smart lockdown has been imposed will be reopened after controlling the epidemic. The provincial regime will not rest till COVID-19 is eliminated.
“Routine work can be done amidst coronavirus by taking precautions and every individual needs to take responsibility. The steps which the government is taking are for protection of people, he added.
