PESHAWAR May 1st: MTI KTH has received its first COVID-19 suspected patient on February 22 since the date KTH has screened and sampled a total of 271 patients out of which 71 were positive and the 199 remaining were negative, 1 result has waited.
As many as108 patients were admitted in the hospital and 93 successfully treated and recovered. 15 patients have expired. The remaining 163 patients were treated as outdoor patients.
14 employees of the hospital successfully defeated coronavirus which includes 4 doctors, 6 nurses, 3 JCT, and 1 class 4.
To combat the COVID-19 the BoG MTI KTH has already approved and directed the management to facilitate and special care of the patients and the staff working in triage, isolation unit, and isolation private rooms.
20 private rooms have already been declared Isolation for the KTH staff. A 17 bedded fully equipped high dependency isolation unit is already functioned and another 46 bedded unit for corona suspected patients is in the backup.
All the basic needs which include breakfast, lunch, evening tea, dinner, and other necessities is provided to the patients admitted in isolation private rooms, and isolation unit from the hospital resources.
The staff working in the A&E, triage, private room isolation, and isolation unit is provided with Sehr and Iftari from self-help based. Almost 100 employees are given Sehr and Iftari
As corona patients are increasing so team KTH is requesting to Chairman NDMA & DG PDMA to provide one-month PPEs’ and increase the quota for the safety of hospital employees and smooth patient care.
